Genesis Capsule

As per our pre-order process, the first 20,000 members or first 60% members ( whichever is larger) will be able to mint Level 3 characters, whereas the rest will mint Level 2 characters.

The first 20% of all the characters will receive several accessories.
Those who register within the first 50% will receive one accessory as an airdrop.

These are the Genesis Perks, with the main one being a Level 3 Character if you are one of the first 20,000 Pre-Orders.

Since ICP Squad does not mint any NFTs, we still need some early perk NFTs to reward the community and grow the project.

Thats why we came up with the Genesis Capsule.

What is a Genesis Capsule

A Genesis Capsule is a capsule that lets users mint ICP Squad Season 0 characters with Genesis perks for 1 ICP, even after the Pre-Order ends.

These won’t be rare characters but will be a level 3 character with a Genesis perk (an accessories airdrop).

We will reserve around 400 Genesis Capsules for the development of the Project.

These capsules will be used to promote the project and grow the community through collaborations and contests.

What do these capsules do?

In the NFT space, we see that teams hold back ultra-rare NFTs for promotions.

Since ICP Squad doesn’t have a capping mechanism, users can mint NFTs by customizing/creating their characters. We close the minting after a certain period, and the characters cant be minted again; therefore, we came up with Genesis Capsules to tackle this and add more value to the project.

Why Genesis Capsules?

Consider a Genesis Capsule as a time capsule that will hold a customizable and mintable Level 3 ICP Squad NFT Character with an activated early pre-order/genesis perk.

These Genesis capsules can be activated with 1 ICP and will allow the users to mint a Level 3 Season 0 ICP Squad NFT character with Genesis perks.

Will receive accessory airdrop like the first 20% Pre-Order.

Capsules allow us to explore more options in the metaverse, and they also help us strengthen the project and create network effects.

This will make our capsules valuable over time and allow other projects to use them to grow our collaboration and promote community events.

How are we planning to use capsules?

Since Genesis Capsules do not have an "expiry date," the capsule can be used to mint a Season 0 Level 3 character any time using 1 ICP.

Think of Genesis as a time capsule, that will allow you to mint characters for 1 ICP.

We took this approach because the ICP Squad team does not mint NFTs; the users customize and mint them by themselves. So, we cannot hold NFTs to do promotions that help us grow the project.

Genesis Capsules will provide flexibility to the ICP Squad NFT project and other Internet Computer projects as well.
